our story

At Tiara Ceramica, we believe that art should transcend the gallery and become part of everyday life.
Rooted in Zurich, our studio has long been a space where craftsmanship and creativity meet - giving shape to minimalist, functional objects that embody both beauty and purpose.

Our work is guided by a deep respect for the timeless tradition of pottery, approached through a contemporary lens. Each piece we create reflects our passion for simplicity, form, and the quiet elegance found in the act of making by hand.
We see our objects not simply as decor, but as companions in daily moments — crafted to serve, to endure, and to inspire.

From the beginning, our studio has been an invitation: to slow down, to reconnect, and to rediscover the joy of creating with our hands. Though this chapter is changing, our philosophy remains — to find quiet beauty in function, and meaning in the making.

Clay, for us, is more than material. It is a medium of mindfulness — grounding us in patience, precision, and presence. Through this process, we connect to the earth, to each other, and to the rhythm of time itself.

From the beginning, our studio has been an invitation: to slow down, to reconnect, and to rediscover the joy of creating with our hands. Though this chapter is changing, our philosophy remains — to find quiet beauty in function, and meaning in the making

michelle

  • Michelle loves the ocean, the sun, and spending time in the garden. She has completed her degree in architecture and is now pursuing a Master’s in Art Education. Alongside her studies, she continues to work as a freelance flight attendant. Yoga and time in nature help her find balance and calm between travel and creative work.

During her years at Tiara Ceramica, Michelle explored a deep fascination for clay — experimenting with new techniques, glazes, and forms. Her recent work focused on a cup collection made from spotted stoneware, a material that, to her, reflects the starry night sky.

Today, Michelle continues to draw inspiration from craftsmanship and slow design — values that remain at the heart of Tiara Ceramica.

dominic

  • Dominic is deeply inspired by nature, the mountains, and the peaceful rhythm of rainy days. When not traveling as a part-time flight attendant, he finds creativity in moments of stillness and the tactile process of making by hand.

As co-founder of Tiara Ceramica, Dominic helped shape the studio’s minimalist direction — designing new objects, overseeing commissions and administration, and curating the brand’s visual identity through photography and communication.

Today, Dominic continues to embrace the philosophy of mindful craftsmanship and simplicity that defined Tiara Ceramica from the very beginning.
